An unidentified fan was injured Sunday after falling from the 300-level seats at Buffalo’s Ralph Wilson Stadium during the Bills game against the Jets.

WGRZ in Buffalo, an NBC affiliate, reported that the person landed on another fan in the 200 level and that both were taken to the hospital. According to the Associated Press, the the fan who plummeted injured his shoulder, while the person that he landed on sustained a head injury.

The initial fan appeared to be attempting to slide down a railing in the upper deck, when he lost his balance and tipped backward. The game was played in blustery conditions — Jets kicker Nick Folk missed a first-half field goal on account of a gust of wind that pushed the ball well wide.

A video of the fan falling, posted on Vine, can be seen below. CBS inadvertently aired the incident in a wide shot from the far end zone. (Warning: Video may be disturbing to some viewers.)

it's called a "hand rail" and it's used for safely ascending and descending a flight of stairs.  it's not a "butt rail" and that portion of your anatomy should not come it contact with it.  improper or misuse of this safety device may cause serious injury or even death.  there were two fortunate fans at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday; one on level 300, one on level 200.

Darwin Award nominee here...never a good idea to slide down a stadium railing to start with, even worse idea in 40-50 mph wind conditions.  Hopefully he learned his lesson.

I know other people got hurt, but I just can't help laughing at this moron.  Hopefully he needed castration, nip those pesky damaged genes in the bud.  To expand on lovemesumkneesneegrows statement.

So this guy and the guy he landed on will probably file a lawsuit against the Bills and NFL, and win.  the stadiums will be fitted with safety fences and seat belts, ticket prices go up by 50%....USA USA USA USA....

I'm willing to bet as either a Jets or Bills fan, the guy probably said, "I can't take this anymore" before falling.

I found it hilarious and ridiculous at the same time.  Someone dumb enough to do that won't get my sympathy and the person they landed on should definitely look into a lawsuit against them.  What a moron.

for what happened, i have ZERO sympathy for the end result.  If he is going to be that stupid, then he deserves what happened.

Why are people defending this guy and blaming alcohol, I've been drunk loads of times but I never did anything as stupid as this.

Here come the demands for a new stadium from Bills management.

Awesome back flip!  They should just put up a net below the railing so people can safely slide down and have some fun while at the game.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I have seen somebody do at a football game and that includes the buttfumble.

It's the stadiums fault for not having a sign indicating the danger of sliding on railing over a precipitous drop in windy conditions. I see a lawsuit coming.

We know that the fan in question was drunk.

Questions:

1. What was the fan's blood alcohol content?

2. At what time Sunday morning did the fan start drinking?

3. From where did the fan acquire said alcohol? Personal stash? Friends in parking lot? Stadium vendors? Parking lot vendors?

YOu say he fell like it was accidental. this clown got what he deserved

What was a Steelers fan doing at the Bills vs. Jets game?

@PhillyPhaithful@Sportramble no, more like, "was that wrong? should i have not done that? i'll have to tell ya.  I'm going to plead ignorance on this one. "  LOL

@EnashWaca Maybe they should have had some Brady hired security guards there and they could have shot him before it got that far, maybe even shot the guy who was taking the video?

@KidHorn

Yeah, it's the stadium's fault Our Einstein got Sh*#-faced and decided to slide down that railing, lost his balance, and fell a couple of hundred feet onto another fan's head - without feelin' no pain. Blame the stadium.

@OK this is why we can't have fun. People like you start your "oh its the alcohol" crap and pretty soon everyone is harrassed

@JasonBain @ok actually, ignorant a** holes, i was merely feet away from this incident. in fact no one was injured, they were both taken and checked out by EMT's. he tailgated for an hour prior to the game, and his bac was not taken. he made a huge lapse in judgement (as do many bills fans every week), but NO ONE deserves to get seriously injured for making a mistake. THANK GOD that NEITHERRRR of them were injured. he is not the victim, but he IS  another human being with a life as well. he feels foolish and absolutely horrible for the other man and even though he's ok he still carries that guilt, and also @ is already understandably embarrassed enough, your rude input is not necessary - although I'm SURE you are all just perfect gems of society that do no wrong and have never made fools of yourselves in your perfect lives, right??? yea...shut your mouths.

@ChadAlexander @OK  Well it is true.  you idiots who feel you have to drink so MUCH and get SO drunk deserve everything that happens.  so keep on drinking my friend.  maybe you will want to recreate this yourself.

@ChadAlexander

Chad,

Lemme get this straight: You believe that get Sh&(-faced on game day, sliding off a railing in the upper tier of the stadium and falling a couple of hundred feet onto the head of a fellow fan constitutes "fun".

Interesting logic - or lack thereof.

Bottoms up, son.

Chuck21

@ChadAlexander @OK Maybe because, it IS the alcohol in this case.

Oh, and news flash to Chad:  if you are starting to drink before noon, you HAVE a problem.  It has nothing to do with impeding fun.

bills50,

Calm down, call Carl Paladino to cuss somebody out, and have another beer.  You'll feel better.

@bills50 @JasonBain I prefer to save my condolences for someone with bad luck. Not the clown who CHOSE to get drunk, CHOSE to slide down a railing in a windy day, and ended up hurting himself. My condolences go to the person he carelessly injured.

@bills50 @JasonBain Fools who act like he did need to be removed from the gene pool. The sad thing about the incident is that this fool fell on an innocent person not on his head.

@OK, feel free to troll, but also feel free to look me up the next time you want to catch a game here.  Son.  Be sure to change out of your high heals first, remember, safety first.

@RobDotzler

Son,

Why are you:

A. Mentioning your Rush Limbaugh marriage history?

B. Bragging about tuning up your ex-?

C. Threatening physical assault on an Internet thread?

Logic, son, logic. Seems Mama left that out of your endless puberty.

@OK BTW, call me son and not use you're real name?  Absolutely pathetic, let me reiterate, coward.  Use your real name and I'll show you what I learned in the Army.  But don't panic, I was a medic, I'll keep you alive until the ambulance comes.

RobDotzler

@OK Jeez, how did you know?  I did s*itty at my Mensa meetings, book club (not that anyone shared my interest in Stephen King and archeology at the time), now I have to think, what were my other interests?  I also did poorly at my debate club, football practice, track (making State) and banging the local ladies as they almost fell over themselves in high school, college and after my divorce (though they did try even then).  I divorced her because she thought she could go through life thinking she could be a condescending tw*t and not have the balls to use her name in public like a cowardly piece of yellow bellied bacon, probably Canadian bacon.  By the way, what's your name?  Coward.  Oh, did I forget?  You most likely can't spell it without your mommy. Simpleton.  You speak as if you know and yet you do not, so shut up, "OK"?  Next time, show examples of your work,   I don't exaggerate either but I'll be sure to remind your mommy to re-enforce positive statements so you don't cry quite so often.

@OK,  COUPLE OF HUNDRED FEET?!?!?!?!?!  He didn't fall OUT of the stadium!  Even if he did, it wouldn't have been hundreds of feet as the stadium is half below the surrounding ground level.  Not busting b*lls, just saying it's 20 feet at best.  Enough to say owwy though.

Friggin' auto correct, "anywhere in America".  That crap auto correct makes everyone sound as stupid as a New England fan.  Hmmm, get's me thinking where that bull crap was developed…  Thank God above it doesn't give me that lobotomy sounding accent!

EnaashWaca, and you continue to live and breed in the New England area where your inbreeding has gone unchecked at greater length than anyone in America?  No wonder you guys are the absolute pinnacle of classless fans in the country, no matter the sport.  That's right, even worse than Dallas fans.

@JerryJohnson1 @bills50 @JasonBain   you are probably too far gone to be shamed.   Wishing ill on another human being shows your ignorance and inhumanity.   This is regardless of how stupid the act was.
