The latest example of NFL unpredictability came from Seattle on Sunday, as the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers raced out to a 21-0 lead on the NFC West-leading Seahawks.

The Buccaneers pulled out all the stops to get that lead, too, culminating in a Tim Tebowesque jump pass from running back Mike James to tight end Tom Crabtree, who had stumbled to the ground but managed to get up in time for the catch. (GIF courtesy of @CorkGaines)

Tampa Bay had a chance at that highlight-reel touchdown thanks to a fumble by Seattle kick returner Jermaine Kearse. Less than a minute before James’ TD pass, Glennon hit Tiquan Underwood for a 20-yard scoring strike to make it 14-0.

The Bucs also pulled out their bag of tricks after their initial touchdown — a Glennon-to-Tim Wright pass. On that ensuing kickoff, Tampa Bay attempted and recovered an onside kick only to be flagged for offside.

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as the Bucs lost in overtime to Seattle, 27-24.
