Peyton Manning scores first rushing touchdown since 2008
We may have reached the official moment when Peyton Manning’s 2013 performance turned from impressive to downright unbelievable.
After throwing three touchdown passes early against Dallas, Manning took off for his first rushing touchdown since 2008. The score came late in the first half, with Denver facing a 3rd-and-goal at the 1. Manning executed a perfect play-fake inside to Knowshon Moreno, then rolled left on a naked bootleg and walked untouched into the end zone. (GIF below via BuzzFeed.)
Manning now has more rushing touchdowns in 2013 than he does interceptions — as of halftime Sunday, he sat on 19 TD passes and zero picks over a remarkable first five weeks.
The last rushing TD for the 37-year-old QB came five years ago against the Tennessee Titans. Manning, then with Indianapolis, scored from one yard out in a 31-21 loss.
