Tough day for J.J. Watt and the Texans. Not only did they blow a 20-3 lead and lose to Seattle in overtime, but Watt walked away from the action with a gruesome bloody nose.

BANKS: Seattle sends message to NFC in win over Texans

The injury occurred when Watt leveled Russell Wilson in the third quarter. Wilson scrambled out of the pocket to his left, then fired as he neared the sideline — only to be drilled by Watt (on a perfectly legal hit).

Wilson jogged off the field no worse for the wear. Watt came to the sideline looking like this:

Watt finished with eight tackles, a half-sack and two tackles for loss in the Texans’ tough setback. The Seahawks kicked a field goal after that Watt-induced incompletion on third down. Watt was back on the field for Seattle’s next possession, just a couple minutes later.

I don't know why people are on the texans,,, they had Seattle on the ropes, but so did the Ravens last year. The ravens got lucky, Texans didn't. Still a heck of a team,,,, as a Seattle fan I thought Watt was all over the place,,,, mean bast***d. They will show how good they are against the 49'ers.

it's not a bloody nose, it's a wound somewhere above his nose.

you don't love football if you dont love the way this guy plays.

Bulls - hit. The only reason why he was bloody was because his helmet did not provide the protection that helmets are supposed to give. His equipment guy failed him. Maybe he got Cushing's helmet from previous years.

They lost because of the lousy play of their QB...."Matt Slob." Who here thinks someone else will be under the "hood" next year......

I said it when he played for the Badgers and I'll say it again as he plays pro. He's a MAN among boys! He'd look even better in a Steeler uniform!

@Wisconsin Death Trip  I totally agree with you the Rookie Keenum did well in the preseason why don't they bench him like Josh Freeman?

@TeeHolmes Might as well cheer for the Cowboys. Certainly don't want "fans" like you.

@cmaglaughlin Unfortunately for your team, far too many players would look better in Steeler uniforms than your current crop of players do.
