Von Miller tried to cheat NFL drug test, according to report

Von Miller tried to cheat the NFL’s drug testing program, with the help of one of the league’s urine collectors, ESPN reported Sunday. Miller is currently serving a six-game suspension — two games more than the expected punishment — and according to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen it “easily could have been up to a year”.

The collector in question was fired by the NFL, though reportedly Miller did not pay any money to try to sidestep the test.

The circumstances surrounding Miller’s suspension remained relatively mysterious when the news first broke. Miller tweeted: “I know I did nothing wrong. I’m sure this’ll be resolved fairly.” The NFL Network’s Albert Breer reported last month that “a diluted sample caused the most recent violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, but the case has complications that go far beyond that.”

Miller’s issues have gone beyond the questionable drug test, too. In August, Miller was arrested after failing to show for a court appearance. The Broncos star reportedly has another warrant out in California for the same infraction.

Denver has done just fine in Miller’s absence, routing Baltimore in Week 1 and then doing the same to the Giants in Week 2. The Broncos will host Oakland on Monday night with a shot to move to 3-0. Also on the schedule before Miller is eligible to return: home games vs. Philadelphia and Jacksonville, and a road trip to Dallas.

Miller does not appear to be facing any additional penalties off of this latest revelation. The NFL, however, may reassess its current testing procedure, per ESPN.

This probably also puts more pressure on Miller to stay on the straight and narrow moving forward. Another misstep could lead to an even longer suspension for Miller, who has one season left on his current contract with the Broncos.

ironic he can lose his livelihood for 6 weeks for doing something he can do in front of a cop in Colorado where weed is legal. However Von don't despair NFL still wont test for HGH so just use this time off to jack yourself up to the max so you can return bigger, faster than ever before. If you run out of juice just stop by your local NFL office and get some more.

You just gotta pick the right substance. For example HGH is a substance NFL does not test for.  Have a feeling Von ain't the only one taking substances hes not supposed to

Miller will be out for a year within the next 2 seasons.  He's a spoiled moron that cares only about  himself and his dough and drugs - his teammates be dammed.

He won't make it through the season. You can't what is broken with people like this. Broncos should try to trade him asap so they can get something for him as he will be unable to play for a year.

Either in complete denial, another spoiled athlete who has had everything taken care of for him forever, or a liar and cheater.

Flawed character?

If so, fire his backside. If he did cheat send the message.....ban him from the NFL.

@Mike26 I'm a Broncos fan and as much as I hate to agree, I must. The guy is a train wreck who just doesn't seem to get it when he should be increasing in maturity...
