Report: Aaron Hernandez pens letter from jail: ‘Can’t wait to … prove all the haters wrong’

In what is reportedly a letter handwritten by the jailed Aaron Hernandez to an unidentified supporter, the former New England Patriots tight end insists he has “always been a great person” and that he will play in the NFL again.

TMZ, which obtained the letter, reports that it verified the document with law enforcement, which confirmed that it is indeed a note written by Hernandez from prison. Ironically, a postscript from Hernandez begs “Keep this off social media PLEASE!”

At the close of the one-page letter, Hernandez signs his name (complete with his old number, 81, above it) and then adds, “Can’t wait to sign this [autographs] again when I’m playing again an [sic] prove all the haters and [text cut off] talkers wrong!”

It could be a very, very long time before Hernandez can even begin thinking about an NFL return. He’s currently facing a charge of murder, as well as additional weapons charges, stemming from the death of Odin Lloyd in June. Investigations have continued since then, with the possibility still there that Hernandez could be linked to other violent incidents in the past.

Even if he somehow sidesteps all of this legal trouble, Hernandez no longer has an NFL team after the Patriots cut him following his arrest. He also eventually could be dealt a lengthy suspension by the NFL, should this situation come to that.

Hernandez, though, at least according to this letter, certainly seems to believe brighter days are ahead.

“I know everything happens for a reason and I know ‘God’ has a plan for me and something good will come out of this,” he writes. “The world just makes things of false accusations and it will all die down especially when they say NOT GUILTY and all the people who have turned on me will feel like crap.”

The worst part of this story: Aaron killing people.

The second worst part: Grown adults using the term "hater."

Somebody forgot to tell Aaron that NFL means Not For Long if you commit murder.

Shallow and transparent publicity trick by his defense team with this leaked letter. Nobody is buying it. And by chance our justice system does fail and he's somehow out on the street with probation from the weapon's possession charges...within two weeks he's "taken care of" by Lloyd's friends. So justice will be served one way or another. Somebody make the Pouncey Twins a couple of "Fry Hernandez" hats .

Have to laugh ironically - sitting in a bar having lunch and they showed the dive team on the lake for day three. Said to my wife for them to be spending this kind of time, they had to be told by a witness, that they saw his toss this in the lake.

I thne said, they should take a fake gun and have someone through it to see how far you could go and then search that area. Yesterday they did just that with some object to get an idea.

Ya there not giving up until they find it. They wouldn't spend that time unless they knew something.

College education is doing wonders for the guy. His English professors must be so proud.

lol someone writes him and acts like they are his friend and then he asks to keep the letter off social media and the person sells it to TMZ. Hilarious.

as it stands right now, it will be hard to prove he killed anyone unless the gun was found or a video surfaces.that does not mean he is innocent.if he did not kill,I am sure he had something to do with the killing or killings!

Maybe we don't agree on the definition of "great person"...

I would like to hear him provide a rational explanation of how he wasn't involved with the murder when there's video evidence placing him at the scene of the crime, along with witnesses. What, Lloyd shot himself 5 times in the back?

Pathetic. I'm 61 years old with a bad back and I have a better chance of playing in the NFL than Hernandez does.

"Prove all the haters wrong?" Could there be a more cliche thing to say, Aaron?

I'll never understand why people want to be a gangsta. Crime doesn't pay. He knew if he got caught, life imprisonment would be his reward. The guy is an idiot. He had the world as his oyster and now, he's just Prisoner 902174 or something with no hopes of being allowed back in the NFL even if he were cleared of all charges.

Sounds like a latter day O.J, who by the way is STILL look for Nicole's and GOLDMAN'S real killer(s), even from prison.

This is a prime example of a delusional sycophant clearly misusing the term "hater".  Actually, it's just s stupid term to begin with.

Well if you ever come back, you won't be playing with Tom Brady or the Patriots anymore. If you are lucky, you might be scrubbing the floors for them. Delusional waste.

The guy you killed implicated you in a txt message minutes before he was killed.  Your chewed up bubble gum places you at the crime scene, your home surveillance system (which you failed to destroy) shows you with the murder weapon, you have already shot 1 guy who lost his eye, and you are being probed for a double homicide.  You have gang affiliation by having a stupid blood tattoo and you arent acting like an innocent person would... hate to say it dude...but you seem guilty to me.  Rot in prison

@meats29 Don't worry.  Hernandez will probably take care of him in an industrial park near Attleboro when he gets out.

@Rickapolis Bloody glove.  Police chase.  Flight to Chicago on the day of the murder for no reason.  Not guilty.

Also, at best, you have an equal chance of not playing in the NFL as Aaron Hernandez.

@MR You seen the forehead on that guy?  Hernandez is basically Exhibit A behind the concept and stereotype of "low brow".  Kind of a small brain cavity there.

@espnrefugee0218 that isnt a blood gang tattoo.. its a combination of words, Blood, Sweat Tears....Yeah, the media twisted and ran with that one.
