Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but Richard Sherman likes to talk trash. A lot. And he’s been pretty vocal lately about his place among the league’s best cornerbacks. The bravado ramped up in New Orleans during Super Bowl week, when he took to Bourbon Street to ask regular people whether he or Darrelle Revis was the best in the league. On Wednesday, it spilled on to Twitter. And Revis shot back.

Sherman was asked by a fan during an impromptu Q&A session the same question, whether he or Revis was the best. Sherman offered his typically honest take, Revis responded directly, Sherman responded to that, and pretty much everyone else on Twitter stepped aside, grabbed their popcorn, and watched the fun unfold.

And now you can do the same, if you missed it in real-time. Follow the entertaining back-and-forth below.

By Revis logic Tebow must be the best QB in the league due to his massive following. I wonder why he cant get on the field? Revis is a great player but he wasnt great last year, he was out. Fact. It would have been a pleasant suprise if he had taken a higher road, congratulated Shreman on a great year, and reminded him that Revis Island will be open for visitors again in early September should anyone care to test the water.

I don't like the Jets but i gotta go with Revis on this one. Matt Ryan made Sherman his Bioch in the playoffs. I've never seen anyone do that to Revis.

Revis will always be better based on the simple fact that he was never busted for taking drugs.

Im no fan of Sherman's, but Revis was stupid for getting into that. Sherman didn't even say anything particularly controversial, and Revis had to know where the convo would end up. Dumb.

@smdjames88 Yeah, what he said was -- "he didn't play this year, next year he'll be in it" ... Revis is feeling slighted by everything, lately, although Sherman shouldn't have engaged him ... but obviously Richard has a problem letting things sit on his twitter.  I was hoping Revis & Sherman would team up this year via a Revis trade ... hmmm ... this doesn't look good for that.  Revis is a shutdown corner, Sherman has the picks because he gives a bit more space.  They are the top two corners in the league, though, who cares who is "better".

@smdjames88 Also, this is cherry-picking for controversy, and yes Sherman likes to talk, but this non-controversial comment comes from him just answering questions from fans ... someone asked him who was the best corner, why would you say Revis?  Let's shift this away from the NY paradigm and just say Revis over-reacted and Sherman didn't really need to engage in it further, but he did.  He had a great year.

Here's the actual thread ... c'mon news folks!  I know you have to report news, but you don't have to manufacture news.
