Hakeem Nicks hauls in Hail Mary pass against Packers
The New York Giants stunned the Green Bay Packers on the last play of the first half in Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game, as Hakeem Nicks went up and hauled down a Hail Mary pass from Eli Manning for a touchdown. The spectacular play gave the Giants a surprising 20-10 halftime lead in their divisional-round showdown with Green Bay.
The play was set up by a 23-yard run by Ahmad Bradshaw, which ended with the Giants’ running back getting out of bounds to stop the clock at six seconds, giving New York one more crack at the end zone.
Rather than try a long field goal, the Giants opted to throw for the end zone. That decision paid off, thanks to Nicks.
Here’s the video of New York’s highlight-reel play.
